Interesting application of the work and the challenges you are facing. Different areas have such incredibly different dynamics. It's truly fascinating.

You have opportunities to manifest on so many levels. It appears you are in a situation that gives you a lot of opportunity to focus on finding a connection to Source. It's a great challenge but also there can be a lot more energy available in areas that are less developed.

Keep up the good work. I'm sure your contribution is life changing for many people.

Elaine,

I remember you. Great to hear from you. Which locatioin are you closest to now?

If you look at http://spatech.edu under education you will see a listing of CEU classes. If you have questions about what may be a good fit for you now, please let me know. If you are on Facebook you can look me up and communicate there or respond to this email. I would have to check the schedules to see what's ahead. You will need to remind me which program you took so I can be sure to point you in the right direction.

Please confirm that you have received this email since I'm not positive that these messages are going out through the blog correctly.

Thanks for contacting me.

Kris, Good article. This is so true. Good practitioners are busy. Spas and Clinics are busy.

It is so important that Spa Owners and therapists congratulate clients on the stress reducing leaps they are taking. The therapist should point out to their clients how well they are dealing with their stress as well as invite their clients to learn more about how their sessions are reducing stress and improving the quality of life.

Thoughtprovoking article. I am a Polarity Therapist traveling through a part of our world that barely knows that massage is good for you! The financial stresses are felt differently also as this was never a wealthy success oriented area.
There are few opportunities to reeducate beyond my initial training, and I find myself planning my summer around the few and far between (hundreds of miles) schools that offer CEUs in other disciplines. I have also traded knowledge with someone in Apache Nation in a less "accredited" way. These interweavings have been very important in two ways: The stimulus of trained practitioners with different viewpoints has enlivened me; and having a choice of small ways of touching people that encourage them to have an entire session. The works does as it does, and referrals are almost beside the point.

HI,
I have been grandfathered in for my massage license, however I would like to take some CEU and would like to know what you have available?
I did take massage at the Polarity Realization Institute awhile back.
Thanks

I completely agree. I feel so blessed to say, I have continued to remain extremely busy. I also agree that pursuing CEUs is a great idea. I find that one of the keys to my success has been the ability to offer diverse services (eg deep tissue, Swedish, Reiki, Reflexology, etc.)allowing me to appeal to a wider variety of people and also to cater to those who one day might want an intense deep tissue massage to help with their rotator cuff issues, but the next might want a Reiki session to deal with the stress of being out of work from that same rotator cuff injury. Doing different modalities also makes work more interesting.

I have also noticed an increase in the half hour session. People aren't wanting to spend as much money but they want to get body work done so they are booking more half hour sessions. Personally, I love this as it caters to my somewhat short attention span and 2 half hour sessions generally produce more income that one hour session in the same time slot. Plus, I get to see more awesome people in the course of a day!
