This is a good point which is worth reviewing. Part of the value of sharing the idea is it gives you time to hone your presentation.

My experience as a musician is that I never progressed as fast as when I had an audience. There was more risk and more criticism of what I did. There was also more disappointment as I went through the process. But the acceleration in my abilities were driven by that process.

It's pretty universal that people who are not creative or creating will not know how to be supportive and will often put you down for trying. As a successful person you need to learn to overcome this energy and face the headwinds of opinion. You need to be strong. The bigger the plan, the more the headwind. There are many great ideas that never see the light of day because the person did not have the emotional strength to deal with the resistance. That's why EQ (Emotional Quotient) is the strongest predictor of success.

However, not everyone is ready for dealing with the disappointment and have to wade into the world of creative pursuits at the pace that's best for them. I tend to be a dive into the water personality. Others need to wade in and there is nothing wrong with that. It just takes a little longer to get going.

So thank you for this important perspective.

May you have an incredible future of bringing your work into the world.

Sincerely.
Kris

Hi Kris,

I have some feedback on something you said at the end of the post...

"Here is a powerful tip: Share your vision, mission and goals with as many people as possible to multiply the energy going towards its creation."

While certainly there is merit in a sense becoming "accountable" by sharing one's mission publicly - there's also a danger involved IF the excitement of sharing ideals/dreams overshadows the will to act.

What I have found in my own personal journey is that - at least for me - if I'm careful to share aspirations with a select few, I don't risk the loss of credibility should plans change or events intervene.

Furthermore - what's even MORE inspiring and encouraging for those around me is when I can share the experience of seeing results which have stemmed from an internal determination to achieve, receive or otherwise "manifest" and ideal outcome.

To put this in context through an example, before my business exploits started paying off, I would be thrilled to tell anyone & everyone my goals/mission.

I soon realized that the vast majority of "listeners" were merely being polite, and for some, it was a major turn-off. Understandably.

As time has passed, and as I've seen many successes (and failures) in business, what I've realized is it's better to wait until the dice have landed before you start cheering.

Even if it wasn't a winning roll.

Just my two cents...

Thanks

Seize the Day: Use the Solstice

Thanks for this good article..I am looking forward at your rss feed Now. wow...Great post.....just ultimate content and quite informative article But I think that you must more focus on prime topic. It’s so easy to get caught up in the day to day that I know I need to be reminded to just sit and breathe and bring myself more in to the present. My goals for the coming days, weeks and months are to focus on building my business, client retention and perfecting my craft through education. I want to share my positive energy with those around me and allow my clients the most relaxing experience they can get in a salon.

This year I will connect with my authentic self. What I truly need and envision for the future, trusting that it will be a blessing to the ones I love, rather than squeezing myself into an ill fitting mold to please those around me. How's that for a run on sentence!!??

Hi Kris
Thanks for putting yourself out there on this, it's a kind thing you've done.

Here's what I did earlier today for Enrollment Resources. I took everything in my head and put it on the wall! I got 4 by 6 inch recipe cards and felt pens and wall gum. i broke the wall up into four themes; admin, lead generation, lead conversion to our free one hour session and product offerings...I just slapped up all the ideas and things that have been rattling around in my noggin' and filled up the wall in my office with idea cards.

i then, sent and e-mail to Shane and all our staff and invited them to come to my office to have a look at 'whats been in Greggs head', inviting them to comment, add, alter. hopefully they're not too scared :o )

anyway thanks for this. i have registered a credit for $1000 for you to use for any of our services for spring 2010 as a little thank you gift.

Kris,
I will be spending the next year learning the art of massage, and most importantly learning how to live as an energy conscious being. I never thought I'd find a career that would inspire me the way this has, and I am very thankful. I wish to bring myself to the level where I may learn from Masters such as yourself and Nancy. Thank you.

Happy Holidays to everyone!

love, sean

Thanks Kris for reminding us to take the time to reflect and to turn our thoughts to a new year and new possibilities. It's so easy to get caught up in the day to day that I know I need to be reminded to just sit and breathe and bring myself more in to the present. My goals for the coming days, weeks and months are to focus on building my business, client retention and perfecting my craft through education. I want to share my positive energy with those around me and allow my clients the most relaxing experience they can get in a salon. The opportunity to just sit in my chair and just be. We are all so hectic nowadays I think people have lost the art of unplugging so that's the goal and the gift I want to give to my clients. By doing that, I believe the rest will follow.

The very best to you all this coming year!
